Police conduct flag march to ensure peaceful Muharram

The police on Wednesday conducted a flag march across the city  as part of efforts to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram and maintain law and order.

BHAKKAR, Jun 17 (APP):The police on Wednesday conducted a flag march across the city  as part of efforts to ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram and maintain law and order.
According to a police spokesperson, the flag march was organized on the directions of the District Police Officer (DPO) Bhakkar to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the holy month and further strengthen the public’s sense of safety and confidence.
The march was supervised by SP Investigation Shaukat Ali and attended by SDPO Sadar, Bhakkar, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, SDPO, Darya Khan, Muhammad Azam Khan, DSP Organized Crime, Malik Mazhar Noon, station house officers (SHOs), police officials, and personnel from other law enforcement agencies.
The flag march commenced from Police Lines Bhakkar and passed through major roads and key locations, including Khansar Chowk, Jhang Mor, Pyala Chowk, Behal Chowk, Main Bazaar, Qasr-e-Zainab, Gadola Road, Qainchi Mor, and Darya Khan Road, before concluding at Police Lines Bhakkar.
The police officials said the purpose of the march was to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the holy month, boost public confidence, and send a clear message to the miscreants and anti-social elements that the police remain fully alert, organized, and prepared to respond to any situation.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Investigation, Shaukat Ali said a comprehensive security strategy had been devised for Muharram processions and religious gatherings.
 He added that additional personnel had been deployed at sensitive locations, while effective monitoring and coordinated security measures were being ensured.
