Police conduct flag march in bid to strengthen security arrangements for Muharram
RAWALPINDI, Jun 22 (APP):On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO), Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police conducted a flag march across Rawal Division on Monday to review and strengthen security arrangements for the 7th Muharram procession.
The flag march was led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Malik Tariq Mehboob and was attended by Superintendent of Police Rawal, Sub-Divisional Police Officers, and Station House Officers of Rawal Division.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mehboob said the purpose of the flag march was to demonstrate Rawalpindi Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring foolproof security during Muharram processions and gatherings.
He emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remained the top priority of Rawalpindi Police, adding that the force was working round the clock with dedication and vigilance to maintain peace and security throughout the city.
