LAHORE, Jun 15 (APP): Pakistan Police athlete Athar Jahan won a gold medal and a bronze medal at the Mr. Universe Championship 2026 held in Bangkok, Thailand, earning international recognition and bringing laurels to the country and the police department.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Athar secured the gold medal in the Junior Mr. Universe category and claimed the bronze medal in the Men’s Physique category of the prestigious international championship.
The event featured renowned athletes from various countries, and Athar achieved the distinction despite strong competition.
All Pakistan Police Sports Board President IG Abdul Kareem congratulated Athar Jahan on his remarkable success and praised him for bringing honour to Pakistan and the police force.
The IG said Pakistan Police athletes were consistently achieving success at national and international levels, adding that medal-winning athletes were a source of pride for the nation and the department.
He said comprehensive measures were being taken to promote and support police athletes so they could continue to excel in international competitions and bring further glory to the country.
Pakistan Police Sports Board DG, Additional IGP Imran Arshad, and Chief Sports Officer DIG Athar Ismail Amjad also congratulated Athar on his achievement and extended their best wishes for his future success.
