Pindi board announces HSSC results with 60pc pass rate
RAWALPINDI, Sep 23 (APP):Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi on Wednesday announced HSSC results for anual exams 20206 sgowing 60.08 percent pass rate. Official gazette statistics released during an award ceremony on Wednesday showed that out of 61,409 candidates who appeared in exams, 36,896 successfully passed. Female candidates achieved a pass rate of 67.56 percent, 26,744 passed out of 39,588, while male candidates recorded 46.52 percent, 10,152 passed out of 21,821.
Grade distribution metrics revealed 2,671 candidates secured A-1 grades, 5,577 earned A grades, 10,176 attained B grades, 12,288 achieved C grades, 5,815 received D grades and 365 passed with E grades.
Itfa Javed of Punjab College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, secured overall top position by scoring 1,156 marks out of 1,200. Noor Fatima Sajid of the same institution secured second position with 1,151 marks, while Nabeeha Eman of Punjab College for Women, Talagang, and Muneeb Shah of Punjab College, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, jointly shared third position with 1,142 marks.
In the Male Humanities Group, Zohaib Imran of Dar-ul-Uloom Muhammadia Rizvia, Pind Dadan Khan, claimed first position with 1,013 marks. Jawad Mehmood Malik from the same seminary secured second position with 996 marks, while Abdul Qadeer secured third position with 994 marks.
Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) and Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) Punjab Raja Hanif, MPA Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, IBCC Chief Executive Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah and BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mehmood, distributed medals and certificates to position holders, emphasizing institutional commitments to maintaining examination integrity and merit across the division.
The position holders were presented with the Guard of Honour.
Addressing the ceremony, CMIT Chairman Raja Hanif commended the students’ academic performance.
He highlighted the continuation of guard-of-honor traditions for high achievers initiated under then Chief Minister Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif’s tenure.
Chairman board, Prof Dr. Iqbal also congratulated toppers and their parents.
He reiterated for meritorious standards of the board, conducting exams under conducive environment and fair marking standards.
