PHA to revamp Bahawalpur Bypass

Horticulture Agency Multan has decided to undertake the rehabilitation of Bahawalpur Bypass as part of ongoing efforts to improve the city’s green infrastructure and beautification.

MULTAN, Jun 21 (APP): Horticulture Agency Multan has decided to undertake the rehabilitation of Bahawalpur Bypass as part of ongoing efforts to improve the city’s green infrastructure and beautification.
Managing Director Horticulture Agency Multan Syed Wasim Hassan, visited various intersections, parks and green belts across the city to review plantation drives, landscaping and beautification work. He issued directions for expediting development and maintenance
activities.
During his visit, he said a grand operation was underway on greenbelts, including the Metro greenbelt, while emergency measures were being taken to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for plants amid the summer season.
He said beautification projects were continuing under a public-private partnership model across the city. Work on decorative lighting at High Court Wall and Nishtar Chowk had been completed, while paintwork on the parapet wall of Kutchery Flyover was in progress,
he added.
The agency was also carrying out landscaping and beautification of the greenbelt from Daulat Gate to Chowk No 14, he said and added that construction work on Bahawalpur Bypass and up-gradation of Chowk No. 14 were continuing.
Syed Wasim Hassan reiterated the agency’s commitment to enhancing Multan’s urban environment through sustained plantation and beautification initiatives.
