MULTAN, May 14 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) claimed on Thursday to have seized 180 kg unwholesome meat in Mailsi and destroyed it on the spot.
On the direction of PFA Director General Syed Musa Raza, food safety teams intercepted a loader rickshaw on Circular road, Mailsi and found decomposed meat with foul-smelling in the rickshaw.
A veterinary doctor examined the meat and declared it unfit for human consumption.
Authorities said the injurious meat was intended to be supplied to local butcher shops and restaurants.
A case has been got registered against the accused.
