PFA seizes untraceable cooking oil

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has seized 280 litres of untraceable loose cooking oil and registered a case against the person responsible during a checking operation on GT Road.

GUJRAT, Aug 19 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has seized 280 litres of untraceable loose cooking oil and registered a case against the person responsible during a checking operation on GT Road.
According to an official source, the PFA food safety team, under the supervision of Deputy District Officer Sadia Rafat, intercepted a vehicle near Service Mor, Gujrat, following a tip-off.During a search, the team recovered 280 litres of loose cooking oil and 340 kilograms of bakery waste from vehicle. The driver failed to produce purchase records, invoices or other traceability documents.
The team collected a sample of the cooking oil and sent it to a laboratory for analysis. The vehicle and seized items were shifted to the PFA office.
A case was registered against the person responsible under relevant laws, and further legal action was initiated
