VEHARI, Jul 19 (APP): Food safety team foiled an attempt to supply a large quantity of dead chickens in Vehari, by seizing a loader rickshaw carrying more than 20 maunds of dead poultry in the 155/WB Thingi area.
According to PFA spokesperson, the dead chickens were being shifted for supply to hotels and fast-food outlets at various locations.
The food safety team destroyed the entire consignment on the spot, registered an FIR against the supplier, and handed over the loader rickshaw to the police for further legal action.
