PFA seizes adulterated red chilli powder

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized 28 kg of adulterated red chilli powder from a spice grinding unit in the 112/10-R Jahanian and discarded the commodity.  

KHANEWAL, Jun 28 (APP): Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized 28 kg of adulterated red chilli powder from a spice grinding unit in the 112/10-R Jahanian and discarded the commodity.
During the inspection, food safety officials detected artificial colouring in red chilli powder through on-site testing and seized the commodity.
The team seized ordered immediate suspension of production at the unit until improvement.
The PFA also got registered a case against the owner for serious violations of food safety regulations.
