PFA secures conviction in fake milk case, accused sentenced to 4 years imprisonment

LAHORE, Jun 15 (APP): Honourable court has awarded four years’ imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 700,000 in Case No. 2798/25 involving the preparation and sale of adulterated milk. The judgment was announced in the case registered at Kot Radha Kishan Police Station in September 2025, said by a spokesperson of PFA on Monday.
Case had been registered against the accused, Muhammad Younas and Muhammad Akbar, for their involvement in the production of fake milk through the use of prohibited ingredients and hazardous chemicals. The successful prosecution reflects Punjab Food Authority’s continued efforts to bring those involved in food fraud to justice.
Director General Punjab Food Authority Syed Musa Raza appreciated the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by the officers involved in pursuing the case. He said that Punjab Food Authority teams frequently face violent resistance while discharging their duties in the field on a daily basis.
He said that food safety officers continue to perform their responsibilities without interruption, regardless of harsh weather conditions, public holidays or festive occasions. Eliminating adulteration and food fraud remains one of PFA’s top priorities.
He stated that every possible measure is being taken to eradicate all elements obstructing the provision of safe and quality food to the people of Punjab.
