GUJRAT, Jun 05 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted inspections of 80 food outlets across the district to monitor food quality and hygiene standards on the directions of Deputy Director PFA Gujrat Sadia Rafat.
According to official sources, food safety teams issued improvement notices to 37 food outlets for violating hygiene and food safety regulations, while 11 businesses were fined a total of Rs113,000.
During the inspection campaign, the teams collected 10 food samples for laboratory analysis and disposed of 2.7 kilograms of expired food items.
Officials said the inspection drive would continue to ensure compliance with food safety standards and the availability of hygienic food for consumers.
