PFA conducts 140 inspections in Gujrat

GUJRAT, Apr 30 (APP): On the directions of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Rizwan Saeed, an inspection campaign continued across the district to ensure food quality.
According to official sources, a total of 140 inspections were carried out during the drive, during which 72 improvement notices were issued over violations.
In addition, fines amounting to Rs185,000 were imposed on 11 food businesses.
During the inspections, 0.95 kilograms of banned and expired food items were discarded.
The PFA reiterated that operations would continue to ensure the provision of safe and quality food, adding that strict legal action would be taken against violators.
