PFA conducts 112 inspections in Gujrat

GUJRAT, Apr 29 (APP):On the directions of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Rizwan Saeed, an inspection campaign continued across the district to ensure food quality.
According to official sources, a total of 112 inspections were carried out, during which 46 improvement notices were issued over violations.
In addition, fines amounting to Rs120,000 were imposed on nine food businesses.
During the inspections, 7 kilograms of banned and unhygienic food items and 10 litres of repeatedly used oil were discarded, while one food point was sealed on the spot.
The authority reiterated that operations would continue without interruption to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public, and strict legal action would be taken against violators.
