Pervez Ashraf condemns D.I. Khan terrorist attack

LAHORE, Sep 26 (APP): Former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Aman Mela check-post in Dera Ismail Khan, which claimed 12 precious human lives.

Expressing grief over the loss of lives, he prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.

He termed the attack an anti-humanity and cowardly act and paid tribute to the police and Customs personnel martyred in the blast.

Raja Pervez Ashraf said terrorism had nothing to do with any religion, adding that terrorists were enemies of humanity. Targeting innocent people was a heinous act, which the nation rejected, he added.

He said terrorists could not weaken Pakistan’s resolve, stressing that elimination of the scourge of terrorism from the country was a national priority.

He said the war against terrorists would continue until the last terrorist was eliminated.
