LAHORE, Apr 05 (APP): Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has extended warm greetings to the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Easter, saying the festival conveys a universal message of hope, renewal, love and new beginnings.
In his message, the speaker said Easter inspires people to uphold the values of compassion, patience and service to humanity. He added that such principles are essential for building a peaceful, tolerant and progressive society where mutual respect and harmony prevail among all segments of life.
He appreciated the significant contributions of the Christian community in the development of Pakistan, particularly in the fields of education, health and social welfare, noting that their dedicated services for humanity are a source of national pride.
The speaker further said that the Christian community has a longstanding tradition of helping the underprivileged and supporting those in need, which serves as an inspiring example for others to follow.
He stressed the need to further promote interfaith harmony, unity and mutual respect in society, saying that national strength lies in cohesion and collective efforts for peace, stability and prosperity of the country.
