Over 0.7m cotton bales arrival recorded at ginneries till July 31 in Pakistan

MULTAN, Aug 03 (APP):Seed Cotton (Phutti) equivalent to over 0.7 million bales have reached ginning factories across Pakistan till July 31, 2026 registering increase of 32.33 percent as compared to corresponding period of last year.
According to a fortnightly report of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) issued to the media on Monday, over 0.7 million (7,38,026) bales have undergone the ginning process i.e converted into bales
Cotton arrivals in Punjab were recorded 2,98,150 bales registering a decrease of 1.10 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year when arrivals were recorded 3,01,481 bales.
Sindh generated 4,87,672 bales registering an increase of 66.82 percent as compared to corresponding period of last year when arrivals were recorded 2,92,340 bales.
Arrivals in Baluchistan were recorded at 22,900 bales.
Exporters/traders bought 3400 cotton bales while textile sector bought total 7,04,378 bales. Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) didn’t procure cotton in 20226-27,says the report. As many as 78044 unsold bales stock was present.
Total 231 ginning factories were operational in the country.
