MUZAFFARGARH, Sep 16 (APP):An orphan boy, who was allegedly subjected to sexual assault three weeks ago, passed away during treatment at a hospital on Tuesday evening.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim, Muhammad Amjad,15, was allegedly abducted at gunpoint on August 22 in the Rangpur area by the prime suspect, Kamran, alongside two unidentified accomplices.The accused forced him to consume an intoxicant before subjecting him to sexual assault.
Following the tragic incident, the boy was rushed to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for critical medical care, where he ultimately succumbed to his condition on Tuesday evening. Police confirmed that the body has been transferred for a postmortem examination to ascertain the precise cause of death.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh, Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah confirmed that the main accused, Kamran, has been arrested, and further investigation was underway.
