NIU hosts fundraising Iftar to support FMH patients

LAHORE, Mar 11 (APP): The NUR International University (NIU) organised a community fundraising Iftar to support Fatima Memorial Hospital (FMH) for deserving patients.
According to FMH’s spokesperson, the event was held at NIU’s Raiwind Road campus and brought together local community members, university leadership, faculty, and staff.
The Iftar was attended by Prof. Dr. Farooq Anwar, Pro Vice-Chancellor NIU; Mr. Nadeem Baig, Director Operations/Registrar; and Prof. Dr. Tahir Zahoor, Dean of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, among other guests.
The event aimed to raise support for the humanitarian mission of FMH, which has been serving the nation since 1977. The hospital, with over 470 beds, has treated more than 10 million underprivileged patients and spent over Rs 7 billion on patient care since its establishment.
The gathering highlighted the spirit of community service, compassion, and social responsibility, encouraging collective efforts to ensure accessible healthcare for those in need.
