LAHORE, Jul 03 (APP): The UHS has implemented new strict criteria for PhD degree. Participation in three national and one international conference has been made mandatory.
A meeting of the Research Board was held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore. The UHS has implemented new strict criteria for PhD degree. Participation in three national and one international conference has been made mandatory before the degree.
Dr. Muhammad Fahim Ashraf was approved for PhD degree in Forensic Sciences. 6 new curricula were approved, including PhD in Medical Education, Nursing, Public Health and Oral Biology.
New curricula for MHPE and Family Medicine and Emergency Care Certificate Programs were also approved. New ‘Nurture Framework’ for PhD Nursing introduced, clinical and teaching residency made mandatory.
PhD Nursing curriculum includes 500 hours of clinical, 200 hours of teaching residency. Public Health curriculum will focus on artificial intelligence, health systems and community research.
Oral Biology curriculum includes stem cells, regenerative dentistry, dental forensic science. Six-month Family Medicine and Emergency Care Certificate Program approved
