RAWALPINDI, Jun 03 (APP):Police have solved a house theft case and recovered stolen gold jewellery and cash worth more than Rs4.5 million here on Wednesday.
According to police spokesperson, the suspect turned out to be the complainant’s nephew, who was residing with the family.
He allegedly committed the theft with the assistance of a friend.
Acting on technical and human intelligence, Westridge Police traced and arrested the suspect.

During the operation, police recovered nine tolas of stolen gold jewellery and Rs1.1 million in cash.
On the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan handed over the recovered jewellery and cash to the complainant.
The complainant appreciated the performance of Rawalpindi Police and thanked the officers for recovering the stolen property.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Potohar Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan said those who target the lives and property of citizens cannot escape the law and will be brought to justice.
Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
