The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Tuesday arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of sensitive personal data belonging to over 10 million citizens.

LAHORE, Sep 08 (APP):The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Tuesday arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of sensitive personal data belonging to over 10 million citizens.
According to NCCIA officials, the suspects, identified as Muhammad Arsalan and Ali Raza, were allegedly operating an unauthorized website titled “Mini NADRA,” through which citizen records and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) information were being illegally offered.
Investigators recovered approximately three terabytes of sensitive digital data during the raid, alongside two mobile phones. The confiscated data included SIM ownership records, call detail records (CDRs), SIM databases, user location data, family tree details, and sensitive information pertaining to various government institutions.
The agency disclosed that the suspects also possessed access to a platform named “Khoji” and were actively engaged in the illicit trade of citizen information.
The seized mobile phones and digital material were sent for forensic examination to trace the source of the breach, identify data storage and trade mechanisms, and unearth other members of the syndicate.
A case was registered against the suspects, and further investigation was underway.
