National resolve pledged to counter Indian propaganda, back Kashmiri self-determination
RAWALPINDI, Aug 05 (APP): Federal lawmakers, administrative heads and institutional leadership reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmiri freedom struggle, calling for a unified strategic counter-narrative and international intervention to reverse India’s illegal August 5, 2019 actions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The collective policy stance was highlighted during a Youm-e-Istehsal event which was held at Government Waqar-un-Nisa Post Graduate College for Women in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting said that New Delhi’s unilateral move to strip IIOJK of its special status violates UN Security Council resolutions and international law, failing utterly to suppress the Kashmiri right to self-determination.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan considers its support for Kashmir a national duty and will maintain diplomatic, moral, and political backing until a free UN-monitored plebiscite is held.
He urged audience to carry forward the official narrative to next generation.
“Today we are here to articulate Pakistan’s narrative of IIOK on diverse forums, tomorrow you have to do this noble duty”, he said while addressing college students to play their role in support of Kashmir issue.
Addressing on the occasion, Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja, Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) emphasized that August 5 serves as both a day of global condemnation against Indian oppression and a day of internal self-accountability for Pakistan.
He urged the Information Ministry and national policymakers to build an active, effective counter-narrative to expose Indian propaganda, while stressing that good governance, institutional transparency and equitable resource distribution are critical to reinforcing Pakistan’s position.
Reminding the heinous crimes committed by occupational forces in IIOK and subsequent border claseh in May last year, Qamar-ul-Islam said the valour forces dispatched befitting response to Indian aggression that would be remembered for decades by the enemy.
He also highlighted that bilateral issue between Pakistan and its eastern neighbour was only Kashmir issue, adding that Pakistan has fought three major wars for Kashmir.
Reiterating Pakistan’s firm stance on occupied Kashmir, Qamar-ul-Islam further said that the day of Kashmir freedom was closer.
Besides key federal parliamentarians, the event brought together Asia Naz Tanoli, MNA, Shazia Rizwan Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, CEOs from education and health authorities, College Principal Professor Zahida Parveen and faculty and larhe number of students attended the event.
Earlier, college students presented Kashmir tableus, songs and speeches which were highly appreciated by the audience.
