RAWALPINDI, Aug 30 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Murree, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Murree Captain (Retd.) Arshad Iqbal and other administrative officials, conducted a comprehensive visit to Mall Road, Kashmir Point, Bank Road and Nighat Zar Park to review ongoing development and public service initiatives.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected the progress of the ongoing beautification scheme aimed at restoring Murree’s traditional charm and historic character. He directed the relevant authorities to complete the development works at the earliest while ensuring high-quality standards.
The deputy commissioner also reviewed the ongoing operation against encroachments on Mall Road and adjoining roads, stressing the need to keep footpaths clear of illegal occupations to facilitate the movement of tourists and local residents.
Under the “Suthra Punjab” cleanliness campaign, sanitation arrangements were also inspected across the visited areas, particularly at recreational parks and major roads. Solid waste management staff were directed to ensure the prompt removal of waste and maintain cleanliness on a permanent basis.
Despite Sunday being a public holiday, the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner and district administration officials remained active in the field and closely monitored public facilities and ongoing operations.
The district administration’s field presence and coordinated efforts reflect its commitment to maintaining Murree’s beauty, improving facilities for tourists and residents, and ensuring effective public service delivery.
