Muharram teaches brotherhood, unity, peace: Kazmi

Former federal minister for Religious Affairs and chief of Nizam-e-Mustafa Party Allama Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi has said that the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) serve as a beacon of guidance for the Muslims and humanity at large and Muharram teaches the values of brotherhood, unity, sacrifice, justice and peace.

MULTAN, Jun 18 (APP): Former federal minister for Religious Affairs and chief of Nizam-e-Mustafa Party Allama Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi has said that the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) serve as a beacon of guidance for the Muslims and humanity at large and Muharram teaches the values of brotherhood, unity, sacrifice, justice and peace.
Addressing the 12th annual “Salam Ya Hussain (RA)” seminar organized  here on Thursday, Kazmi said that Hazrat Imam Hussain’s (RA) supreme sacrifice in Karbala ensured the survival of Islam and established the triumph of truth over falsehood.
The seminar was presided over by Director Hajj, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Rehan Abbas Khokhar, while Makhdoom Shoaib Akmal Qureshi Hashmi, Mian Muhammad Majid, Prof Dr Riaz Hussain, Dr Nisar-ur-Rehman and Naeem Iqbal Naeem were among the guests.
Speakers highlighted the lessons of Karbala, emphasizing unity, steadfastness and resistance against oppression.
Rehan Abbas Khokhar said Pakistan’s Shia and Sunni communities share strong bonds and attempts by disruptive elements to create divisions should be countered through national unity and harmony.
The participants stressed the need to educate the younger generation about the true spirit of Karbala and the message of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
Special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s stability and prosperity, Muslim unity, and the people of Palestine, Kashmir and Iran.
