Motorway Police foiled an attempt to smuggle wheat worth millions of rupees near Uch Sharif on the M5 motorway.

MULTAN, Jul 11 (APP): Motorway Police foiled an attempt to smuggle wheat worth millions of rupees near Uch Sharif on the M5 motorway.
According to Motorway Police Central Region spokesman Syed Imran Ahmed, police recovered 42.3 tonnes of wheat from a suspicious trailer.
The seized wheat was valued at approximately Rs 4.2 million, he said.
The truck was transporting the wheat from Punjab to Ghotki without a valid permit, the spokesman added.
Motorway Police handed over the trailer, wheat and driver to the Food Department for further action.
The Food Department has initiated the process of registering a case for legal action.
