Modern vet operation theater, lab inaugurated at Civil Veterinary Hospital

Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Ashiq Hussain Kirmani on Wednesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art veterinary operation theater and modern laboratory at the Civil Veterinary Hospital, Khanewal.

KHANEWAL, Sep 13 (APP):Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Ashiq Hussain Kirmani on Wednesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art veterinary operation theater and modern laboratory at the Civil Veterinary Hospital, Khanewal.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the minister stated that modern veterinary healthcare facilities were being provided to livestock farmers at their doorstep in line with the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He emphasized that dairy and meat-producing animals formed the backbone of the national economy, making livestock health and animal care top priority areas for the provincial government.
The minister highlighted that the newly established modern laboratory would significantly improve the diagnosis and timely treatment of livestock diseases. He directed the Livestock Department to collect animal samples directly from farmers’ doorsteps for diagnostic testing, saving them from making repeated visits to veterinary hospitals.
Furthermore, he announced that livestock farmers would receive their diagnostic test reports online and via WhatsApp within one hour.
Kirmani revealed that the government planned to establish a model veterinary hospital in every tehsil across the province soon to enhance public access to modern animal healthcare services.
He added that timely precautionary measures taken by the Livestock Department during recent floods had successfully prevented epidemic outbreaks among livestock, noting that modern veterinary hospitals were now fully operational in every district of Punjab.
Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Khan Daha and Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Rana Muhammad Saleem Hanif also addressed the gathering.
