MURREE, Oct 07 (APP): Provincial Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting to evaluate ongoing administrative operations, healthcare infrastructure and modernization efforts at the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center, Murree.
Attended by Punjab Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood, Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) Executive Director Prof. Dr. Musfirah, Medical Superintendent Dr. Qaiser Abbasi, and senior Punjab Buildings Department officials, the meeting assessed human resource deployment and equipment upgrades required for the facility, said a press release.
Briefing the chair, RIC Executive Director outlined operational progress, noting that state-of-the-art medical equipment including an operational Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) has been deployed to provide specialized cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic services to residents of Murree and surrounding areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Khawaja Salman Rafique emphasized that under the vision of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provincial government has allocated substantial capital funding to transform the Syed Muhammad Hussain Samli Hospital and Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center into a premier cardiac care hub.
Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood instructed relevant departmental heads to ensure strict compliance with project timelines, complete human resource hiring, and streamline supply chains to maintain uninterrupted specialized healthcare delivery across the hill station.
