The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has signed a formal agreement with the Civil Defence Department to ensure comprehensive security arrangements for Fatima Jinnah Town Phase-II.

MULTAN, May 12 (APP): The Multan Development Authority (MDA) has signed a formal agreement with the Civil Defence Department to ensure comprehensive security arrangements for Fatima Jinnah Town Phase-II.
Under the agreement, trained personnel of the Civil Defence Department will be responsible for performing security duties in Fatima Jinnah Town Phase-II.
The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Multan and Controller Civil Defence Muhammad Nauman Siddique and Director General MDA Rashid Irshad Hussain.
Additional Director General MDA Malik Atta-ul-Haq Khokhar and Assistant Director Civil Defence Multan Region Naushaba Mehwish were also present on the occasion.
The agreement will remain effective for one year and may be extended further upon mutual consent. As per the terms, Civil Defence personnel will provide round-the-clock security in three shifts to safeguard the area.
The Civil Defence staff will be responsible for the protection of all civil, mechanical and electrical installations located in Fatima Jinnah Town Phase-II. In case of damage or theft involving government installations, the deployed security personnel will be held accountable and legal action will be initiated where necessary.
Only medically fit and physically healthy personnel will be deployed for security duties. Attendance, performance and public dealing of the security staff will also be regularly monitored.
The agreement further states that MDA administration must be informed in advance regarding leave or replacement of any security official, and details including the name and national identity card number of the replacement staff will be submitted to the authority.
All security personnel will receive salaries through their bank accounts in accordance with the Government of Punjab’s approved pay schedule.
Similar to arrangements already implemented in Fatima Jinnah Town Phase-I, MDA officers will conduct regular attendance checks of security personnel across all three shifts in Phase-II to ensure effective security management.
