MULTAN, Jun 18 (APP):Managing Director (MD) Multan Horticulture Agency (MHA), Syed Waseem Hassan, on Thursday directed officials to ensure comprehensive cleanliness, landscaping and beautification arrangements along Muharram procession routes across the city.
Chairing a review meeting regarding preparations for Muharram-ul-Haram, the MD MHA instructed the Horticulture Wing officers to intensify maintenance of green belts, roundabouts and public parks to facilitate mourners and maintain the city’s aesthetic appeal during the holy month.
He said duties had been assigned to gardeners and sanitary workers for green belts and major intersections located on procession routes, adding that special attention was being given to cleanliness and landscaping work.
Syed Waseem Hassan informed the meeting that beautification work was continuing along the Metro Bus route, while painting and renovation of flyovers and city walls were also underway. He said efforts were being made to upgrade green belts and improve the overall environment of the city.
He further directed officials to ensure uninterrupted water supply in parks and accelerate plantation activities. He said the agency was implementing the Punjab Chief Minister’s Green Vision and would ensure the best possible arrangements for cleanliness and landscaping in parks and green belts during Muharram-ul-Haram.
