FAISALABAD, Apr 22 (APP): Sahianwala police paid rich tribute to martyred constable Muhammad Iqbal on his death anniversary, reaffirming their commitment to honor sacrifices of police martyrs and ensure continued support for their families.
Police spokesman said here on Wednesday that a smart contingent visited grave of martyred constable and presented a salute in addition to laying down floral wreaths and offering “Fateha” for elevation of his ranks.
Constable Muhammad Iqbal had embraced martyrdom nine years ago while bravely confronting the dacoits in the line of duty, he added.
Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, in his message, said that martyrs had rendered supreme sacrifices for the protection of citizens and their courage and bravery would never be forgotten.
He emphasized that welfare and care of the families and children of police martyrs remained a prime responsibility of the police department, reiterating the resolve to stand by them at all times.
