Marka-i-Haq defining chapter in country’s history: PA speaker

LAHORE, May 09 (APP):Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan on Friday said that Marka-i-Haq would remain a defining chapter in Pakistan’s history, showcasing the country’s military preparedness, diplomatic strength, and unparalleled national unity before the international community.
He expressed these views while inaugurating a photo exhibition on Marka-i-Haq at Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAC) on Saturday.
The Speaker toured the exhibition and later addressed the media.
Congratulating the nation, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said the events of May 10 marked a historic moment when Pakistan emerged on the global stage as a confident, dignified, and resilient state.
He paid tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the national media, and the people of Pakistan for their collective role in a landmark national achievement.
“The world acknowledged Pakistan’s principled stance, while India failed to substantiate its allegations even after the passage of a year,” he said.
The speaker noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach, including efforts led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in key international capitals from New York to Turkiye, effectively presented Pakistan’s position and garnered broad international understanding and support.
He said the Pakistani nation stood united behind its leadership “like a fortified wall,” while professional and timely briefings by the military’s public relations wing further strengthened public confidence and national morale.
Referring to Pakistan’s defence capabilities, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said the country’s advanced electronic warfare systems effectively neutralized hostile drones, radar installations, and India’s widely publicized S-400 air defence system, along with other strategic assets, demonstrating Pakistan’s technological sophistication and operational readiness.
He said the Pakistan Air Force displayed exceptional professionalism and proved that the country’s defence was in highly capable hands.
The speaker reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country committed to regional stability. However, he warned that any future act of aggression would be met with a stronger, swifter, and more decisive response.
He emphasized that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the Armed Forces of Pakistan, adding that there could be no compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
