MUZAFFARGARH, Aug 20 (APP): A man and his son were seriously injured when unidentified assailants allegedly entered their house and attacked them with knives on Alipur Bypass Sabzi Mandi Road, rescue sources said on Thursday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, 70-year-old Muhammad Shafi sustained a severe head injury, while his 32-year-old son, Allah Ditta, suffered a serious knife wound to the neck during the attack.
A Rescue 1122 team reached the scene, provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for further medical treatment.
Police inspected the crime scene and initiated legal proceedings. The motive behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately, while efforts were underway to identify and apprehend the attackers.
