Man held for selling rented vehicles worth in millions, seven vehicles recovered

Police have arrested a suspect accused of obtaining seven vehicles worth millions of rupees on rent from a citizen and subsequently selling them in different districts.

RAWALPINDI, Jun 04 (APP): Police have arrested a suspect accused of obtaining seven vehicles worth millions of rupees on rent from a citizen and subsequently selling them in different districts.
According to police spokesperson, the accused allegedly obtained the vehicles from the complainant on rent and fraudulently sold them in various districts.
Following a complaint filed by the vehicle owner, Kallar Syedan Police registered a case a few days ago and launched an investigation.
Using technical and human intelligence resources, police traced and recovered all seven vehicles from different districts. The recovered vehicles had reportedly been sold in Bhakkar, Khushab, Bhalwal, Hafizabad, Wah and Rawalpindi.
Police official stated that the suspect has been taken into custody and will be presented before the court with substantial evidence for further legal proceedings.
SP Saddar Anum Sher commended the police team for the successful recovery operation and said there would be no tolerance for fraud or exploitation of citizens.
She emphasized that individuals involved in such crimes would be brought to justice. The SP also advised citizens to exercise caution and thoroughly verify all details before entering into any financial transaction or rental agreement to safeguard their valuable assets.
