A man was electrocuted after coming into contact with a fallen electricity wire in the Fatah Garh area of Sialkot during heavy rain and strong winds, Rescue 1122 officials said on Saturday.

SIALKOT, Jul 11 (APP): A man was electrocuted after coming into contact with a fallen electricity wire in the Fatah Garh area of Sialkot during heavy rain and strong winds, Rescue 1122 officials said on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Ameer Hussain (34), who was returning home from work late at night when he reportedly stepped into rainwater carrying a live electricity wire that had snapped during the storm.
According to Rescue 1122, local residents discovered the body the following morning and alerted emergency services.
Rescue personnel reached the scene, secured the area, recovered the body and handed it over to the victim’s family.
Rescue 1122 urged the public to avoid broken electricity wires, electric poles and waterlogged areas during rainfall, advising citizens to immediately report such hazards to the relevant authorities or the emergency service.
