Lyallpur Museum holds Kashmir rally

On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, a solidarity rally was held under the aegis of Lyallpur Museum here on Wednesday.

FAISALABAD, Aug 05 (APP): On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, a solidarity rally was held under the aegis of Lyallpur Museum here on Wednesday.
Museum Director Maqbool Malik led the rally, while other officers Shahnaz Mahmood, Sidra Shah and Sajid Sattar along with other staff and students, participated in the rally.
They were carrying banners and placards and raised slogans in favor of the Kashmiri people and expressed solidarity with them.
Addressing the rally, the Director Lyallpur Museum said that August 5, 2019, was an important day in the history of South Asia when the Indian government changed the special constitutional status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that Kashmir is not just a geographical region but is the guardian of centuries-old civilization, culture, language, music, traditions and historical identity.
The identity of any nation and protection of its cultural heritage is the responsibility of the international community, because nations are not only identified by their borders, but also by their civilization, history and cultural heritage.
He said that the purpose of observing Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on August 5 every year around the world is to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
At the end of the rally, the participants reiterated their resolve to continue expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
