LHC CJ launches five advanced digital systems to enhance judicial efficiency, transparency

LAHORE, Jun 30 (APP): Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Miss Aalia Neelum, on Tuesday inaugurated five state-of-the-art digital systems as part of the Court’s ongoing judicial reforms and digital governance initiative aimed at modernizing the justice delivery system across Punjab.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by LHC Registrar Raja Qamar uz Zaman, Director General (Judicial and Case Management) Javed Iqbal Bosal, and other senior court officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Aalia Neelum said the judiciary’s digital transformation was focused on harnessing modern technology to ensure faster, more efficient and transparent administration of justice. She observed that the integration of digital solutions would help reduce delays in judicial proceedings while significantly improving public access to timely justice.
She reaffirmed the Lahore High Court’s commitment to institutional reforms based on the principles of merit, transparency, accountability and good governance, adding that the newly launched digital platforms would strengthen judicial record management and enhance administrative efficiency through technology-driven processes.
Earlier, Additional Registrar (IT) Jamal Ahmad gave a detailed presentation on the newly launched systems. He said the Secure Judicial Communication System had been developed to provide a secure and efficient platform for official judicial correspondence.
He further informed the participants that the Lahore High Court Query Management System would centrally manage and process public queries received through WhatsApp and email, enabling their prompt routing, monitoring and timely resolution.
Highlighting another major reform initiative, he said the Procurement Management System would enhance transparency and efficiency in procurement and financial management.
Integrated with the SAP platform, the system would enable real-time monitoring of budget availability, expenditure and financial controls, thereby strengthening governance and accountability.
The Court has also introduced the Utility Bills Management and Monitoring System and the Notification Management System, both designed to improve financial discipline, optimize resource utilization, streamline record management and ensure the swift dissemination of official notifications.
The Chief Justice’s digital reform programme marks another significant milestone in the modernisation of the Punjab judiciary. The initiatives form part of a comprehensive court digitalisation strategy aimed at leveraging information technology to improve case management, eliminate procedural bottlenecks, enhance administrative capacity and reinforce public confidence in the justice system.
The newly launched systems are expected to significantly improve institutional efficiency, promote transparency and support the delivery of a more responsive, accessible and citizen-centric justice system across Punjab.
