LAHORE, Jun 05 (APP): The administration of Lahore General Hospital has taken immediate notice of a complaint regarding alleged misbehavior with a patient’s attendants and has suspended an employee named Anwar.
According to the LGH spokesperson on Friday, the hospital authorities have also issued orders to appoint the Additional Medical Superintendent (Administration) as the inquiry officer to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident.
Principal Amiruddin Medical College Professor Dr. Farooq Afzal issued strict directions, stating that all hospital staff must treat patients and their attendants with courtesy, kindness, and professionalism. He emphasized that serving patients with respect is the foremost priority of the health department, and any negligence or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Medical Superintendent Professor Dr. Faryad Hussain said that strict departmental action will be taken against any employee found guilty of misbehavior, negligence, or misconduct with patients or their families. He reaffirmed that every effort is being made to ensure that patients at Lahore General Hospital are provided not only quality medical treatment but also a respectful and dignified environment.
