LAHORE, Sep 05 (APP):Lahore Investigation Police have successfully traced a 12-year-old girl, who was abducted from the Ichhra area, in Gujranwala, resolving the mystery surrounding her disappearance.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif had taken notice of the incident and directed the authorities to ensure the girl’s safe recovery.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza assigned the task to SP Model Town Investigation, following which a special investigation team was constituted under the supervision of SP Model Town Investigation Usman Aziz Mir and ASP Bareera.
The investigation team reviewed footage from more than 100 surveillance cameras covering various locations from Lahore to Gujranwala and conducted raids at different places in its efforts to trace the missing girl.
Through sustained efforts, professional investigation and the use of modern technology, the team succeeded in tracing the girl at a Dar-ul-Aman in Gujranwala.
Police said the 12-year-old girl was safe and currently staying at the Dar-ul-Aman in Gujranwala.
The police further said that after completion of the necessary legal formalities and obtaining permission from the competent court, the girl would be handed over to her parents.
