LAHORE, Apr 23 (APP): The Meteorological Department on Thursday has forecast that heat has been started to increase in the provincial metropolis, where the weather is expected to remain dry and hot.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the city can reach 41 degrees Celsius, while the wind speed is expected to be between 3 and 10 kilometers per hour throughout the day.
Furthermore, the weather in the city will remain clear and there is no possibility of rain.
On the other hand, air pollution has also reached dangerous levels. Lahore’s Air Quality Index has been recorded at 381, which experts are describing as extremely harmful to health. DHA Phase 6 also recorded a pollution level of 381, while it reached 312 on Barki Road, 302 in Gulberg III and 278 on Bedian Road.
Experts have warned citizens to avoid unnecessary outings, especially between 11 pm and 2 pm, and take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the heatwave.
