Kot Addu Police intensified their crackdown on crime during June 2026, arresting 89 proclaimed offenders (POs) and 15 court absconders while registering dozens of cases against drug traffickers, illegal arms holders and liquor dealers, according to the district’s monthly performance report.

KOT ADDU, Jul 03 (APP): Kot Addu Police intensified their crackdown on crime during June 2026, arresting 89 proclaimed offenders (POs) and 15 court absconders while registering dozens of cases against drug traffickers, illegal arms holders and liquor dealers, according to the district’s monthly performance report.
A police spokesperson said eight cases were registered against drug traffickers, leading to the recovery of 5.545kg of hashish, while 48 cases were lodged over the sale and possession of liquor. Police also registered 29 cases involving illegal weapons.
During the month, police registered six cases against individuals for making false calls to the Rescue 15 helpline and recovered smuggled goods worth Rs83,200, which were handed over to Customs authorities.
The spokesperson said police also busted a robber gang and recovered stolen property worth Rs254,000.
The district police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and urged citizens to report suspicious activities to help curb crime.
