Kite seller held, seize 500 kites

LAHORE, Jul 18 (APP): Sherakot police arrested an alleged kite seller and recovered 500 ready-made kites during an operation in the Babu Sabu area, police said on Saturday.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Zharf was arrested during a raid conducted by Sherakot police.

She said the accused used cardboard boxes to transport and sell kites in order to conceal the activity from law enforcement officials.

Police added that the suspect was also involved in supplying kites to other districts.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law while further investigation was underway.

Police said strict action was being taken against kite sellers and flyers under a zero-tolerance policy, adding that operations against those involved in the illegal trade would continue.
