Kite flying not to be tolerated in the province: IG Punjab

LAHORE, Mar 15 (APP): The Punjab Police announced strict measures against kite flying across the province.
IG Punjab Abdul Karim said that kite flying will not be tolerated anywhere in the province, while those involved in kite flying or kite selling will be brought to justice.
The IG Punjab directed that RPOs, CPOs and DPOs ensure strict implementation of the Anti-Kite Flying Act.
According to the spokesperson for Punjab Police, 6185 suspects were arrested across the province this year for violating the Anti-Kite Flying Act, while 417,124 kites and 10,764 string spinning wheels were recovered.
In addition, 2228 suspects were arrested in Lahore and 2105 cases were registered, while 10,694 kites
were seized.
