LAHORE, Aug 30 (APP): Defense Minister Khawaja Asif visited Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, where he reviewed passenger facilities and development projects.
According to Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the Defense Minister directed to set up additional search counters for early clearance of female passengers and reduction in waiting time.
The minister inspected the newly constructed immigration area and ongoing development works, while also reviewing passenger facility arrangements in international and domestic departure areas.
The Defense Minister emphasized on maintaining high standards of passenger facilities at Lahore Airport and reviewed the upgrade and renovation projects of various facilities for the convenience of passengers.
Khawaja Asif emphasized on completing the expansion of the departure drop-off lane on priority basis to reduce traffic congestion. While reviewing the progress in the ongoing construction of the domestic departure area, the minister emphasized on the timely completion of the project and passenger convenience.
