Kabbadi trials to be held June 09

The Youth Affairs and Sports Department would conduct trials for the Sargodha Division Kabaddi teams at Sargodha Stadium on June 9, 2026 to select a squad for the upcoming Chief Minister Punjab Inter-Division Kabaddi Championship.

SARGODHA, Jun 08 (APP):The Youth Affairs and Sports Department would conduct trials for the Sargodha Division Kabaddi teams at Sargodha Stadium on June 9, 2026 to select a squad for the upcoming Chief Minister Punjab Inter-Division Kabaddi Championship.
The trials were being organized on the direction of Provincial Minister for Sports Faisal Ayub Khokhar to promote traditional games in the province, the Divisional Sports Officer (DSO) Sargodha Rana Nadeem Anjum said on Monday while talking to APP.
According to the DSO, the trials would commence at 3:00 PM, and players from all four districts of the division including Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Khushab are eligible to participate.
He added that aspiring athletes must bring their original Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) or Family Registration Certificates (FRC) to prove their residency, while departmental players were required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective organizations.
Rana Nadeem Anjum further stated that a neutral selection committee was constituted under the guidance of Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman and Director General Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi to ensure a merit-based selection process.
The finalized Sargodha team would represent the division in the Chief Minister Punjab Inter-Division Kabaddi Championship scheduled to take place in Lahore from June 16 to 18, 2026,he said.
The Divisional Sports Officer emphasized that such events would provide a significant boost to traditional sports and offer a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent at the provincial level.
