SARGODHA, Jul 15 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Sargodha Circle, has arrested a suspect allegedly involved in a multi-million-rupee overseas employment scam as part of its ongoing crackdown on human smugglers and visa fraudsters.
According to FIA spokesperson here on Wednesday, the operation was conducted on the supervision of Deputy Director FIA Sargodha Circle, Ahsan Ali Hani Bajwa.
The arrested suspect, Imran Khan, son of Zaman Khan, a resident of Akbar Pura, Tehsil Pabbi, District Nowshera, was taken into custody in connection with FIR No. 94/2025.
The suspect, along with his accomplices, allegedly defrauded a complainant of Rs 6.8 million by promising employment visas for Dubai. Despite receiving the payment, the accused neither arranged the victims’ travel abroad nor returned the money.
FIA said further investigation is underway to determine the full scope of the fraud, while efforts are continuing to arrest the other suspects nominated in the case.
