A sessions court on Thursday extended the interim bail of social media influencer Iqra Kanwal until June 29 in a case related to the alleged promotion of a gambling application.

LAHORE, Jun 11 (APP): A sessions court on Thursday extended the interim bail of social media influencer Iqra Kanwal until June 29 in a case related to the alleged promotion of a gambling application.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddiqui heard the matter. During the proceedings, investigating authorities informed the court that the forensic analysis report of the accused’s mobile phone had not yet been received.
As the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) failed to submit the forensic report, the court granted an extension in the interim bail and directed the agency to ensure submission of the report before the next hearing.
The court observed that further proceedings in the case, including a decision on the bail petition, would be undertaken after the forensic report is received.
The NCCIA had registered a case against the social media influencer on charges of promoting gambling application.
