LAHORE, Sep 13 (APP):Chairman ChenOne Group Chaudhary Muhammad Ashfaq on Sunday said the group was promoting Pakistani products in international markets while contributing significantly to the welfare of underprivileged segments of society.
Addressing a ceremony held to celebrate the conferment of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz upon ChenOne Group CEO,Mian Kashif Ashfaq, he said the group had established modern cardiology and liver transplant facilities, diagnostic laboratories and free stitching centres to provide vocational training to women in Toba Tek Singh.
He said ChenOne was also providing scholarships and employment opportunities to thousands of young people,while its contemporary furniture and garment designs had helped enhance Pakistan’s manufacturing and export potential.
Mian Kashif Ashfaq said ChenOne and the Pakistan Furniture Council were contributing to the national economy through modernisation, innovation and development of products meeting international standards.
He said ChenOne was also providing internships and practical training to students of leading institutions,including Lahore College for Women University,Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design and University of Home Economics, enabling young people to develop expertise in modern and internationally competitive designs.
Chairman Discover Pakistan,Dr.Kaiser Rafiq and Mian Tariq Javed from Denmark,Global Business Development Leader and former Chairman Pakistan Overseas Community Global,attended the ceremony as guests of honour.
