Independence Day music show held at Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, Aug 17 (APP):A grand music show was organized at the Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi, in connection with Independence Day celebrations, featuring patriotic songs and folk performances by renowned singers Rehnat Bano and Mushtaq Niazi.
A large number of citizens attended the event, which created an atmosphere of national spirit and cultural pride.
Senior PML-N leader and former Federal Minister Tahira Aurangzeb, who attended the event as chief guest, said Independence Day reminded the nation of the sacrifices of its forefathers.
She said music and art played an important role in keeping the spirit of patriotism alive among the youth. Such celebrations reflected the unity and resilience of Pakistan, she added.
Parliamentary Secretary, Government of Punjab, Shazia Rizwan said the provincial government was committed to providing platforms for artists and celebrating national days with dignity and enthusiasm.
She said cultural programmes not only provided entertainment but also strengthened national identity, adding that the talent of Pakistani artists was a matter of great pride.
Director Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor thanked the guests, artists and citizens for their participation and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to organizing cultural events promoting peace, unity and artistic expression.
