LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP): The Lahore General Hospital (LGH) administration on Tuesday handed over a man to police after catching him posing as a doctor and attempting to mislead hospital staff.
According to hospital officials, the accused, identified as Muhammad Anas, entered the hospital wearing a doctor’s attire and introduced himself as a doctor. However, hospital administration and security personnel became suspicious and exposed his false identity after verification.
The security staff took him into custody and handed him over to police following a written complaint by Security Supervisor Hafeez Baig. Police have initiated legal proceedings against him.
Initial investigations revealed that the accused had allegedly defrauded a citizen by taking money in
exchange for a fake employment order. Kot Lakhpat police had already registered a case against him in this regard.
Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent LGH Prof Dr Faryad Hussain directed security personnel to remain
vigilant and strengthen security arrangements to ensure the safety of patients and maintain discipline on the hospital premises.
The hospital administration warned that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in impersonation, forgery or other unlawful activities. It also urged citizens to report suspicious individuals or activities to hospital security or the administration.
