Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Wednesday paid glowing tribute to martyrs during Police Martyrs’ Day ceremonies by visiting the graves of martyred police officers,laying floral wreaths,offering Fateha and meeting their bereaved families.

LAHORE, Aug 05 (APP):Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Wednesday paid glowing tribute to martyrs during Police Martyrs’ Day ceremonies by visiting the graves of martyred police officers,laying floral wreaths,offering Fateha and meeting their bereaved families.
The IGP visited the graves of Shaheed DIG Captain (retd),Syed Ahmed Mubeen at Cavalry Ground,Shaheed DIG Fayyaz Ahmed Sunbal and Shaheed ASI Muhammad Fayyaz,where he laid wreaths and offered Fateha for the elevation of their ranks.
Capital City Police Officer(CCPO),Bilal Siddique Kamyana,Punjab DIG Traffic Waqas Nazir,Lahore DIG Administration Imran Kishwar,Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi and other senior police officers accompanied the IGP during the visits.
On the occasion,smartly turned-out police contingents presented guard of honour at the graves of the martyrs in recognition of their sacrifices.
Later,the IGP visited the residence of Shaheed DIG Captain (Retd),Syed Ahmed Mubeen at Qurban Lines,where he met the martyr’s mother and other family members.
He also visited the residence of Shaheed ASI Muhammad Fayyaz and met his mother and other relatives,paying tribute to their unmatched sacrifices.
IGP Abdul described Shaheed Mubeen as an outstanding human being and a highly professional police officer whose services for the country and Punjab Police would always be remembered.
He said Shaheed Fayyaz Ahmed embraced martyrdom in a bomb blast while performing official duties in Quetta, while Shaheed ASI Fayyaz laid down his life while protecting the lives and property of citizens during an exchange of fire with armed robbers.
The IGP said the sacrifices of police martyrs would continue to inspire future generations,reaffirming that Punjab Police would always stand by the families of its martyrs and honour their enduring legacy.
